Photography
I’ve always loved and practiced art in one form or another from sketches to singing and finally to photography. I believe that expressing oneself artistically can be a truly liberating experience. My natural talent lies in my skills with the post processing of digital images and the capturing of abstract art. For the past 11 years I’ve dabbled in digital photography, post processing of images, graphic design, and web development. Over the last 5 years I’ve mastered the art of event and wedding photography. Prior to owning my own business I trained under Captured Art Photography for 4 years and Heather was instrumental in my learning. In fact some of my portfolio is still from the time I spend with Captured Art. Through that experience I learned a great deal about the art of photography, how to better interact with the subject, and how to capture the art of an individual.Aside from photographing with my old wedding photography business I’m also working on other digital forms of art with my Pensacola Graphic Design business. Currently I am just building my portfolio for JIC Designs. I have several sites that are designed by myself, including this one, so I hope I’m doing something right:)
I’ve had the opportunity to photograph businesses, bands, events, weddings, portraits, to my personal and artistic photography. All in all I’ve photographed well over 100 events and weddings around the Gulf Coast. I haven’t been alone in this journey either. Joshua, my son, has grown with me as well. At 11 years old when he shoots with a camera it reminds me of the beauty in his child like wonder. I also have a problem turning away a stray animal. I have a growing menagerie of two dogs Leo and Evey (both insane), Levi (my cat named after my favorite cyclist), and MooShu (the runt of a litter, but he doesn’t know it).
