SEO
Regardless of what you've heard or read, search engine optimization isn't some magical unobtainable thing that only the big companies have. While it does take hard work and time, you can have your site optimized for search engines. The question is, what is search engine optimization? While there are technical terms to describe search engine optimization, SEO, its better to think of it in terms of what it can do for your company.
With great SEO you can raise your rankings in major search engines, get more clients to your site, which coupled with an effective site design can have a great impact on your bottom line! While I can do all of this for you, I'm more than happy to let you do this yourself and will even tell you the steps. Below are all of the items you need to hit on:
1. Research specific keywords and phrases for clients ready to make buying decisions.
2. Embedding keywords and phrases within your site's content and header meta data.
3. Creating a blog and updating it with your offerings using embedded keywords throughout the posts with linking back to your site(at least 1-2 posts per month)
4. Posting on forum's pertaining to your industry with linking in your signature directing back to your site (should be 15-30 posts per month)
5. Adding photos with names from keywords to your site, blog, and some forum postings.
6. Submitting your site to search engines (address, photos, and pinging)
7. Make a few Youtube or Vimeo Videos with pertinent content and add relevant keywords with linking back to your site. (1-2 every month)
8. Create a FaceBook and Twitter site with links throughout to your blog and site. Images and text all with relevant keywords (4-10 postings per month)
9. Write 1-2 articles per month to submit to article databases with links back to your site and/or blog.
10. Get reviews from clients and ask them to submit them to Google and different search engines.
11. Embed analytical tracking in your site and blog to view usage patterns over time.
12. Lastly, upkeep by doing 1/4 to 1/2 of the back link building each month (once your at your intended goal)
So in essence your looking at 3 phases:
Research and Creation
Research keywords for your industry and this area
Partial (or total) site redesign (to add more text, photos, and embedded keywords), blog creation, social site creations, forum profile creations, search engine submissions
Back Link Building:
Postings on Blog, Forums, social sites, article sites
Maintenance:
Upkeep with 1/4th to 1/2 of the work previously done in back link building
The process can take some time to start and progress is usually slow. However, within months you could be in the top page depending on the level of your determination and competition in your area. Like I said above, these are all things you can do on your own, but if you want to offload the work below are the price guidelines:
